Frequently asked questions
What is the dress code?
The wedding is Black Tie optional.
Is the wedding outside?
Yes! All of Saturday will be outdoors so please plan accordingly. Tip: for the ladies, we recommend avoiding stilettos.
What can I expect for the weather?
August in Cody is usually warm and sunny, with daytime temperatures in the 80s. It is usually windy, and temperatures can dip as the sun goes behind the mountains.
Will there be transportation?
Yes, transportation will be provided for the events on Thursday and Saturday.
Thursday - Transportation will pick us up at Blanca Tatanka and drive to the Rodeo. After the Rodeo, transportation will drive us back to town. Drop off will be at the Silver Dollar Bar for whoever wants to stick around for a few drinks at a great local spot. Transportation will then be provided back to the hotels late night for those that decide to stay.
Saturday - Transportation will be provided from all the hotel blocks to the Ranch. At the end of the night, there will be pick up times from the Ranch back to each of the hotels apart of the room blocks.
Will there be parking?
If you prefer to drive, there will be parking at the Ranch. Please drive careful and be cautious of wildlife, especially driving back to town at night! There are no street lights and the roads are winding along the way.
Will I have cell service at the Ranch?
Cell service is extremely limited at the ranch. Think of it as a chance to disconnect and reconnect with each other! The mountains make a great excuse to put your phone down and enjoy the views!
Is there Uber in Cody?
Unfortunately, Uber hasn’t had the honor to make an appearance in Cody, yet! There are local cab companies that are great.
Cody Cab: 307-272-8354
Cody’s Town Taxi: 307-250-3939
Explore Cody Transportation: 307-254-7459
What can I expect for the Rodeo?
The Cody Nite Rodeo is a great experience that is about 1.5-2 hours long. Make sure to bring an additional layer as it can get chilly at night. There is a gift shop where they sell sweatshirts and blankets.
Do I need to buy tickets for the Rodeo?
Don’t worry about tickets! We have the Party Deck reserved. If you arrive on your own, just ask them where to go at roll call.
What can I expect for Sunday?
For those that are able to stay (and in need of a little hair of the dog), join us for brunch followed by our favorite tradition we like to call “River Happy Hour!” We’ll pack up coolers and chairs, head down to the river, and fire up the grill while we soak in the views. Feel free to bring / wear a bathing suit. The water gets chilly, but it’s perfect for a post-wedding refresh!
